ABOUT SARA

Sara is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who brings a vibrant passion for functional medicine and a big heart to every patient she serves. Her career as an NP spans general neurology and functional medicine. Before this, she spent eight years as a Registered Nurse, gaining valuable experience in various clinical areas, including emergency medicine.

With over a decade of experience in hospital settings, she has seen firsthand how chronic conditions are managed in conventional medicine, often without being truly resolved. This awareness, early on in her career, sparked her mission to dig deeper and adopt a whole-body approach. She believes there's a crucial time and place for conventional medicine, but she's a staunch advocate for uncovering the root cause of health problems. Sara is known for her meticulous approach, attentive listening, and unwavering dedication to helping patients achieve their optimal state of health. Her journey to improved health through a functional lens has instilled in her the vital importance of treating the whole patient through personalized, root-cause medicine. Sara deeply respects the individuality of each patient and is committed to guiding them on the most effective path to reach their health goals and achieve overall well-being.

Sara obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Mount Saint Mary College in 2021. She is currently advancing her expertise by training to become a board-certified functional medicine practitioner through the Institute of Functional Medicine.

Sara lives in the Hudson Valley with her beloved husband, one-year-old daughter, and Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Griz. She finds joy in hiking, meditating, enjoying live music, and cultivating her large vegetable garden and fruit trees. Her particular interests lie in mind-body therapies, nutrition, and plant medicine.
